What's From Daddy?

At birth, Hanaa looked a replica of her mom. Now, at 2.5 months, some people say my daughter is beginning to look like me. I think 3 features do seem to be inherited from the Daddy somewhat. Just which 3? Guess!

Those of you who has been through this before, pray tell, how many changes in features did your child go through from "look-like-mommy" to "look-like-daddy" to and fro?

The Imperial Language

Once upon a time, 11 minutes after Her birth, she holds her Daddy's hands. The Daddy was awed and lovestruck.

In today's reality, Her Majesty regally taps her fingers on her slaves. One of them, the male one, seems to be particularly inept at understanding Her Majesty's orders. "It's all in the touch, I'm telling you, Daddy," her eyes glower at me, "and since you can't seem to understand my simple signals like you used to, I'm forced to kick and punch and resort to 'goo' 'goo' 'gaa' 'gaa' aarrggghhhHHHHH!!!!"

San Yi-Yi is Charmed

Wrapped snugly in Daddy's arms, Hanaa begins to coo. In her mind: I heard this voice frequently before! Since Day 1! It's the voice of yet another most willing slave! Hanaa wakes up knowing she would be passed into her Yi-Yi's arms and then she works her magic. Done. One more slave.

Microphone? Shower-head???

Certainly not! It's a lotus plant albeit not the typical impression I had of one.

Yi-Yi Thresa Visits

Yi-Yi Thresa came over to see little Hanaa. She even crowned the little princess!

Portraits

Trying to capture that "One Portrait" is impossible for one reason: I cannot be fully happy and satisfied that a single photo can capture all that is Hanaa. My little Hanaa dined to pose a little for her daddy during this photo shoot. When put to vote, there was no clear "best shot." What do you think?

Baby Hanaa has worked her 3 slaves like a true puppet master this past 2 months. Pictured here, you can see she is very pleased and looking forward to endearing brand new slaves to her this coming Chinese New Year.

Down to Up

At 2 months, baby Hanaa began to show signs of desiring things down side up, to clear the gas! But she still needed a little "rollover" help. I think she may be one baby who starts crawling early. On her tummy, she was already able to tuck in her knees and was trying to do push-ups albeit unsuccessfully.

[Lehhh]

The Daddy went, "1... 2... 3!!!" And Hanaa went, "Lehhh." It's not easy to get her to pose, you know. It's much easier to take candids as my baby is wont to remind me.

[Gasp]

[Gasp] drip drip drip drip drip... [Gasp] drip drip drip drip drip... *Mommy, how long is this gonna take?*

Easy Smile

This time, it's an easy smile which means "I'm contented for now." Hanaa's capacity to express herself is growing in so many ways, and so fast! Mommy and Daddy can barely keep up with her development. It's a fantastic challenge to learn what her different smiles mean, what her new wave means, kicks, punches, scratching, ....

Qtee n Snowy

Qtee, the cute furball with four legs and pointed ears and a playful streak came as a surprise together with her brother, Snowy who obviously has Siamese ancestry. They're both of the same litter, you know, and I can't help but wonder how that could be so. Can anyone explain it to me?

My Wife, Anne

You have already seen photos of my 2nd miracle, my baby girl Hanaa. Some of you may have already guessed the 1st miracle. Indeed, the first miracle I experienced, is to be married to my wife. Both miracles are "life-time duration" miracles, heheh. I am so lucky, ain't I?

My 2 miracles look alike as of today. Perhaps if I could get a decent portrait of myself I'll post it up here so that you can be the judge of that.

The Birth of Hanaa Wong

Nine months seemed long at first. Then at times, time sped by too quickly to note. During the hours leading to Hanaa's birth, some minutes were seconds, some seconds were minutes. Mommy and Daddy are trying to recall as much as we can on those moments in hanaawong.blog.com.

It Comes with A "Price"

Hanaa loves to play. It's easy for me to see this as I have been with her most of each day, but to capture her playfulness in a snap, I needed a Fisher-Price.

An Eyeful

The 2nd miracle in my life frequently dazzles me with her big bright eyes. From Day 1, they were open and searching. Today, they are arresting and alluring.

Hanaa likes Nokia

Is little Hanaa going to be a gadget girl? Is she likely to be more attuned to gadgets and devices than even her Mommy and Daddy? Daddy thinks yes.

My daughter, Hanaa Wong

Words cannot begin to express my joy from the moment I was a father-to-be. Not even a picture speaking a thousand words can express my joy as I first laid eyes on my own daughter. Not even my collection of photos can express my joy each time I share a laugh with my little girl, and yea, even through the aches and fatigue of taking care of her through the night.
